It is open to public consultation the strategy for promoting national participation in financing programs of the European Union (EU) 2021-2027 – Research & Innovation (R&D), Erasmus, Space and Digital.
The Portugal in Europe Research and Innovation Network (PERIN) has been promoted to adopt a national strategy in 2021-2027, to double the Portuguese participation in European Programmes compared to 2014-2020, and to attract approximately two billion euros of European Union funding in the areas of Research and Innovation, as well as to triple student mobility in Higher Education.
The network PERIN has the participation of several entities: FCT, IP, ANI, PT Space, AICIB; Ciência Viva, and ERASMUS+. This network includes: National Delegates / Contact Points in European Programmes; Group of National Experts for European Programmes; Liaison network in Research and Innovation within different partnerships and international organisations; The PERIN network has with main objective to mobilise public and private resources, in particular, through European Union funding programmes in the areas of Research and Innovation, Erasmus, Space and Digital, which will allow to reinforce excellence in these national areas, as well as better affirm Portugal at European and international levels and to strengthen public and private investment in R&D.
