Pedro Almeida - Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property Manager
Pedro is our Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property Manager, supporting NOVA.id.FCT and FCT NOVA scientific community in the valorization of knowledge and technology, acting at the interface between Academy and Industry, both in terms of Industrial Property protection and Technology Transfer.
With a background in environmental sciences, Pedro holds an MsC in Environmental Engineering (UA), and has worked as a researcher in environmental economy (UA), as a trainee in the environmental department in the public sector, developing an environmental education program, after that became an environmental advisor in a multinational company in the plastic and metal packaging sector and had a previous experience as a tech support advisor for a company in the mobile technologies sector.
Along with all the know-how and curiosity regarding the scientific and technological/industrial areas, Pedro bets on creativity and communication as a way to promote ideas and projects. Pedro also mediates the interface Academy-Industry.

Igor Sequeira - Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property Advisor
Igor is our Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property Advisor, supporting NOVA.id.FCT and FCT NOVA scientific community in the valorization of knowledge and technology, acting at the interface between Academy and Industry, both in terms of Industrial Property protection and Technology Transfer. Igor holds a Law Degree (FDUL) and he’s currently writing the Thesis in order to complete a Master’s Degree in Business Law (FDUL). Taking advantage of his completely different background, Igor brings legal counseling in the management of interactions between the Academy and Industry.
