Juliana Monteiro - Executive Director
Juliana Monteiro holds a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering (UA), currently she is the Executive Director at Innovation, Research & Impact Strategy office (IRIS). She has over 7 years of experience in supporting national and international R&I projects, both in the strategic area of proposals submission and also in legal & financial matters. Her experience is consolidated by her experience as a National Contact Point (NCP) during the 7º FP and H2020 in the area of "Climate Action, Environment, Efficiency of Resources and Raw Materials," Marie Curie Actions " and "Legal and Financial issues".
In IRIS, she performs functions of identifying and disseminating competitive financing opportunities and specialized support in the preparation of R&D project applications, at institutional and individual level. Strategic support in the valorization of NOVA.id.FCT's knowledge, throughout R&I applications and contract negotiation. Moreover, she is responsible for providing the relevant information regarding R&D indicators to the Boards and also in providing career training for the young researchers.

Anabela Gomes - Head of Financial Lifecycle Department
Anabela Gomes holds a degree in Business Organization and Management with a position as Financial Officer at Innovation, Research & Impact Strategy Office (IRIS).
Her experience in national international research and development projects and services has already worked for over 17 years in public entities. Her consolidated knowledge of financial legislation or issues allows her to follow applications for funding programs as well as to check the eligibility standards, procedures, budgeting, among others, which aims to minimize risks to the finance and the organization as a whole.

António Frazão - Funding Adviser | Business Development & Funding Department
António Frazão is graduated in International Relations from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra and has a Master’s in International Relations - European Studies from the same University. He currently works as Funding Adviser on R&D funds at IRIS. He supports the scientific community in the submission of research proposals and funding applications, from the identification of putative funding opportunities to the administrative support of non-scientific sections in applications. His duties are based on administrative, management and submission of project proposals to national and international research funding programs, as well as know-how in scientific reports of research projects. Also, he is following the national and European policies in terms of research andinnovation.
