The goal is to build a “Recommended System” that utilses a neural network model trained with a big historical dataset to propose a new system that satisfies the requirements.

“Unlocking the Potential of Earth Observation from Space”
Utilising images collected by GEOSAT’s satellites, develop new services of added value, that are able to answer in an innovative way to global challenges or specific needs of territories.

#4 Challenge - GALP

“Alternative methods of producing synthetic graphite anodes & Solutions for using sodium sulfate”
#1st Challenge: Alternative methods (and more sustainable) to produce anodes of sinthetic graphite.

#2nd Challenge: Alternative solutions to use sodium sulfate, avoiding its disposal in landfill.

The Unitary EP Patent and IP Strategy: Risks & Safeguards

Past February, the 15th, Patentree kindly shared their insights in regards to the new unitary EP patent which should be available next June. The session was well participated by FCT NOVA’s researchers and counted with presentations from Anabela Carvalho and Luís Ferreira, patent attorneys, which explored IP strategy and also changes regarding court.

Entrepreneurship 2023 - Final session

Past February, the 24th, the final session of this year’s edition of the Entrepreneurship took place in “Grande Auditório” of NOVA School of Science and Technology, and IRIS was present throughout this edition represented by Pedro and Marta as teachers.

Our congratulations to all students that took the challenged and developed their ideas and translated them into great presentations, specially for all of those who were awarded during the ceremony.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND FUNDING

RESOLVE-Health - Living Lab of Digital Validation in Health

RESOLVE-Health launched a call looking for technologies /innovations for the next Living Lab in Digital Validation, in collaboration with CUF.

Applications should be submitted to: resolve@i3s.up.pt

Deadline: March, the 3rd

Awards: 5.000€ to 20.000€ and technical support to validate proof of concetps and prototypes.
