Abstract:
It is the aim of DES-ZYME to develop the applications of Natural Deep Eutect Solvents (NADES) in biocatalysis. NADES are a new class of solvents derived from Deep Eutectic Solvents (DES) which are composed by natural metabolites such as sugars, carboxylic acids, amino acids and choline based organic salts. (…)The characteristics of NADES envisages three main applications in biocatalysis: as reaction solvents, as separation agents and as substrate themselves. These will be the main applications pursued by DES-ZYME.
